Job Description
As a Software Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for testing AspenTech’s market-leading Operational Technology (OT) products. Your primary role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks that ensure product reliability and compliance. You will also collaborate with cross-functional R&D and product management teams to enhance software quality and performance.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts for backend, UI, and API testing.
- Create non-functional test scripts for system verification and performance analysis.
- Integrate and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Conduct manual and automated functional tests to identify product defects.
- Perform requirements analysis and test strategy documentation.
- Collaborate with global teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Contribute to quality assurance best practices in an agile environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 0–3 years of professional experience in software testing or quality engineering.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Perl, or Shell scripting.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments.
- Familiarity with SQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra databases.
