Job Description
The Financial Analyst role involves managing financial accounting, budgeting, and reporting for the Marketing & Promotion team. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Business Finance, Controllership, and Audit teams, ensuring compliance, financial integrity, and efficient operations. This role is ideal for candidates who have a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for finance automation and process optimization.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage monthly reconciliations and assist in budget updates.
- Handle stakeholder queries and ensure adherence to internal compliance policies.
- Perform monthly accrual bookings and assist in audit and SOX compliance.
- Ensure data integrity and maintain financial records as per Amex standards.
- Work across multiple time zones while coordinating with global finance teams.
Functional Knowledge and Expertise
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and reconciliation processes.
- Knowledge of financial controls, compliance, and governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with tools such as Oracle Applications, Essbase, TM1, and MS Office.
- Ability to read and interpret contracts and statements of work (SOWs).
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Graduate or Postgraduate in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- MBA in Finance or equivalent degree preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, or budgeting.
- Freshers with strong finance fundamentals are also encouraged to apply.
